I used to have the Hate Dept. cd "technical difficulties" but loaned it to a friend and never got it back. Anyways, I just bought it again and man I forgot how great they are. I love how they mix industrial and pop and rhyming so well. Do any of you know where I can pick up the latest cd by them? It isn't available on amazon and none of their albums are available on itunes and ebay only has their old stuff.

Big Hate Dept. from back in the day. Used to see Seibold and Co. play at least once a month back when I "interned" for Gonzo Records. Ha! Anyone remember Turning Keys??
The new album, "A New Ghost" hasn't been released. I think I posted a thread here a month or so ago about four free tracks he had available for dl for 24 hours on myspace.
Anyway, for a complete 'best-of' - pick up "The House That Hate Built" 2 discer that came out a few years ago...don't know if Amazon has it (iTunes does not...) but that's the one to get...I actually still listen to it often...and that's also to say they're the only "industrial" band besides Imperative Reaction and sometimes NIN that I'll even give the time of day to anymore...that genre has just died such a grisly, messy death...

USed to really dig their stuff. In their early days they were just incredible to see live - I saw them in a couple of small venues and they were really impressive.
Never saw them again after they started playing larger clubs - they just didn't come 'round these parts much.
Did remember Seibold being a really funny and interesting guy.

I was into Hate Dept in the very early days, loved the Omnipressent album and even made my own music video for "Flesh Feeds Soul". Look for it on You Tube. My user name is Redsquaredigital and it's the only video you will find for that song.
I saw them live many years later, and just couldn't get into the whole guitar thing they were doing.
Turning Keys!! HA! That's awesome. Back around 1994 when my first band U-N-I was in the Control-Alt-Delete network we got to meet those guys in Dallas at The Lizard Lounge for the Official Release party of the 1st CAT Compilation.
They came all the way from L.A. and gave everyone copies of their 5 song E.P. I still have mine and thought it was really good for the time. Now I have to go home and give it a spin. Oh, You know what else I have from the Gonzo Label? The Full Frequency Album. Have to pull that out now too. Thanks for the cool memory Dan!!!

P.S. And then, you know what I am going to do Dan??? I'm going to pull out The Memory Garden album. hehehe....
